A breathtakingly beautiful culinary chalet emerged from the shared passion of two individuals as different as chalk and cheese.

Owner, Anju Gautam, a traveller at heart, self-taught cook, and a passionate diarist, whose love for food, flavour and folklore began in the culturally rich by lanes of Jalandhar, evolved as she globetrotted the world, and culinary artist and seasoned Chef Nimish Bhatia, whose nearly four decade long journey helming some of the finest commercial kitchens has been a tale-after-tale tome of spicy notes, techniques and a plethora of exciting ingredients.

A diligent teacher by choice and a homemaker by nature, Anju Gautam has always understood the quiet power of food to bring people together. From crafting thoughtful meals for her family to capturing flavours and stories during her travels, her kitchen has long been a canvas for love, memory, and creativity.

Now, as she steps into the world of hospitality with her maiden venture, Mann Marzi—anchored in one of Dubai’s most elite addresses—Anju’s contribution is more than just investment. She brings intention, soul, and  vision.

Her restaurant is not just a business; it’s a deeply personal expression of her journey—an elegant blend of culinary heritage, global influences, and heartfelt hospitality. Every detail of Mann Marzi reflects Anju’s inherited values: attention to detail, authenticity, and a deep appreciation for cultural richness.

Inspired by her humble roots in Jalandhar and refined through her travel from the US to the fragrant alleys of Dubai and the Middle East, the thoughtfully crafted menu is a collection of stories—meals remembered, places revisited, and flavours reimagined. The ambiance, warm and graceful, carries the essence of a home where every guest is received with warmth.

At the crossroads of tradition and innovation stands Chef Nimish Bhatia, a visionary culinary artist and custodian dedicated to transforming ingredients into immersive, unforgettable stories. With over four decades of experience captaining kitchens globally, Chef Bhatia is known for his profound ability to transform ingredients into sensory fables. A master of both classical technique and poetic interpretation, he is a culinary storyteller par excellence.

Of Indian heritage, trained in classical European and French kitchens, and deeply influenced by bold Asian flavours and Japanese restraint, Chef Bhatia’s style is a fusion of philosophy more than flavours. He draws inspiration from folklore, heirloom rituals, forgotten recipes, and even personal diaries—his grandmother’s handwritten spice notes often inspired his finest tasting menu.

He believes that food is not just nourishment or luxury, but a cultural tome—one that can be reimagined, retold, and relived at the table.

At the helm of Mann Marzi, Chef Bhatia leads a multisensory dining theatre where guests embark on a journey through history, emotion, and ritual. Here, courses unfold with theatrical precision — finished tableside, infused with fragrance, and plated as edible narratives that evoke both wonder and intimacy.
